Hi, my name is Mikki and I have been at the shelter since I was 8 weeks old (March 2025). I was found by a mailbox with my siblings. I can be nervous of new people and situations since I have grown up here. I'm working on being braver but it's all I really know. I would like to have a person who was understanding and willling to take the time to show me new things aren't scary. I have been to a parade before with my braver friends, and though I was a little scared I did really well. I am very timid but affectionate with people once i get to know them, I love to be held and cuddled. I also like other dogs, big or small, and love going outside to run and play with my friends here. I like all sorts of toys, too! Although I think finding the squeaker is the best part of a stuffed toy. I do very well on the leash and like to walk right next to you and look up at you the whole time. I hope to get my own person to walk and snuggle with one day, and finally get to see what it's like to be out of the shelter.
