Meet Murphy — a one-year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix with model looks and a “been there, survived that” backstory. This handsome fluff nugget was found running rural NC with a pack of 14 dogs. Yes. Fourteen. Basically a low-budget wolf documentary. Plot twist? Our boy clearly wasn’t the pack boss. Those little face scars? Just proof he survived the drama and said, “I choose peace.” ✌️ Since coming into rescue, Murphy has been the definition of submissive sweetie. He’s polite with other dogs, drama-free, and has an overall 10/10 temperament. He can be a little shy when meeting new humans — think awkward first date energy —so he’ll need a confident dog sibling to show him the ropes and say, “Relax dude, they have snacks.” Kids over 10 are best because tiny humans move fast and Murphy prefers his chaos level slightly reduced. Now let’s talk energy 👀 Murphy is a young, active boy. Shepherd + Husky = brains, athleticism, and “let’s go do something!” energy. He is NOT applying for Couch Potato of the Year. He’s looking for an active family who enjoys walks, adventures, yard play, enrichment, and keeping his smart brain busy. If your idea of cardio is scrolling TikTok, he respectfully declines. Also… breed honesty moment: Shepherd + Husky = potential Houdini. 🪄✨ If there’s an unlocked gate or an open door, he might consider a brief audition for “America’s Next Top Escape Artist.” So secure fencing and door awareness are a must.
