Watching Kaluha come back into herself has been pretty incredible. She’s rediscovered her love for sticks (because obviously she’s a dog), and now every walk includes her proudly carrying a random stick like it’s her emotional support accessory. She just stands there, stick in mouth, calmly observing the world — people, birds, squirrels — taking it all in like she owns the place. Her toy drive is coming in strong too. She’s young, athletic, and surprisingly coordinated. Throw one of those round tennis-ball-disc things? She catches it. Every. Single. Time. No drama. Just talent. This girl is scary smart. She listens when told to drink her water, and she doesn’t even need a command to go into her crate — point at it and she strolls right in like, “Say less.” Her crate is her happy place, and she truly enjoys the comfort and security it gives her. At night? Absolute angel. No barking, no whining. One morning I slept in and walked into the living room expecting chaos… nope. She was still asleep. Living her best, peaceful life. And cuddles? Forget personal space. Kaluha believes closeness is a love language. She wants to be touching you, leaning on you, curled up with you — always. She is pure affection wrapped in fur. She’s also done well with calmer, playful male dogs around her size (about 60 lbs) and seems to appreciate balanced energy over chaos. She’s social, but she’s not here for nonsense — honestly, relatable. Things she’s still working on: she can pull a bit on leash when something exciting catches her eye (birds, squirrels, the audacity of people existing). But that’s young-dog energy and absolutely something training will polish up quickly. Kaluha is ready for more than just fostering — she’s ready for her forever home. She has so much love to give, and she deserves someone who’s in it for the long haul. She’s loyal, affectionate, intelligent, and just the right amount of sass!
