About Onyx
Onyx is a resilient pup who has experienced a rough start, but his energy for life remains undimmed. After being surrendered to a crowded shelter and narrowly avoiding euthanasia, he’s finally adapting to home comforts—real beds, toys, and human companionship. At around 4 months old and already about 30 lbs, Onyx is figuring out how to be a puppy, embracing new routines, learning house training, and loving his crate at night. There’s an obvious joy when he gets to tear around the yard—a freedom he never had before. He’s a quick learner and wants to please, picking up new skills every day. Onyx is curious, outgoing, and ready to make friends with anyone, dogs and humans alike. He gets along well with other dogs, is thrilled around children, and approaches cats with hopeful enthusiasm. After romping around, he’s content to crash next to his favorite person. With a soft long coat and sweet, trusting eyes, Onyx is ready to settle into a forever family and offer back some of the love he’s always deserved. Click apply to start the adoption process.
