About Shortstack
Shortstack! This name should surely provide a big clue about STAF’s newest female resident …a 29 pound bundle of pure sweetness with the gentlest of dispositions. Meet Shortstack! Shortstack was left in the woods, tied to a tree without food or water. Fortunately, Kentucky deputies rescued her and brought her to our sister shelter who took great care of her until she was ready to come to STAF. And how happy she is with us! Given her past, we were unsure how Shortstack would react to shelter life, but she has settled in seamlessly, making friends with her neighbors and immediately warming up to the volunteers. As one volunteer reported, “On my gosh she is a sweetheart! She is so cute and very affectionate. Well behaved driving in the car and going to the vet. I think people will fall in love with her!” Although it’s still early, we are confident that Shortstack will continue to shine and surely touch your heart as she has touched ours! Please come and see for yourself! Visit STAF.org for more information on our adoption process and our adoption application. *** Email adoptadog@STAF.org for next steps! *** • All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots. • We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting. • You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF. • Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences. • We do request vet and personal references. • We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter.
