About Spuds
7‑Month‑Old Shortie Jack Russell Terriers Spuds is 12 lbs and considered a Broken Coat ( Wired and Short Hair ) Shortie Jack. These adorable 7‑month‑old Shortie Jack Russell Terriers are ready for their new beginning. Shorties are the compact, low‑rider version of the classic Jack Russell — smart, affectionate, sturdy, and full of personality without the high-octane intensity of the taller lines. The breeder docked their tails. In the breeding world, puppies are expected to sell quickly, usually between 8 and 12 weeks. Once they pass the 3‑month mark, the demand drops sharply, and the profit margin disappears for breeders. Older puppies cost more to feed, vaccinate, and house, and many breeders simply can’t justify keeping them long-term. Therefore, they are transferred to rescues. Now that they’re in rescue, they’re blossoming. Shorties are soft‑natured, people‑oriented, gentle little terriers. They’re affectionate, submissive, easy to handle, and some say much calmer than standard JRTs. They bond fast, stay close, and thrive on routine and reassurance. **Our Adoption Process:** To begin the adoption process, please fill out an application on our website.
