I’m Penny, a long-haired tortoiseshell beauty with a birthday of 01/31/2022 and a heart that’s even warmer than my rich, swirled coat. My story started out on the streets, where I spent what seems like quite a while fending for myself. I was already fixed when I was found, which means at some point I likely had a family. Maybe that’s why I still believe so deeply in people. I’m affectionate and wonderfully snuggly, but I do value my independence. I’ll gracefully drift off to do my own thing—probably to a sunny window where I can watch birds and squirrels perform just for me. I’m extremely trusting with humans, love gentle attention and a good brushing. But I keep myself very tidy and take pride in my long coat. Cardboard scratchers are one of my favorite things. Although I get along with other cats who don't invade my space, I’d really prefer to be your one and only lucky charm.
