About Taz

Taz is small but gritty, charging into life with a can't-slow-me-down attitude. After being rescued from a hoarding situation with over 20 dogs, Taz didn’t experience much individualized attention early on and spent some time in shelter limbo. Her back legs show evidence of luxating patellas, leaving them a bit misshapen. That said, Taz moves with determination—she keeps up just fine on walks and fetch sessions with larger dogs. Arriving in foster care as a wild card, Taz didn’t understand car rides, affection, or what it means to be treasured. Now, she’s getting a taste for the good life—relaxing in soft beds, enjoying being petted, and even riding in a backpack for longer strolls or in the car. Surgery is set for late March to correct her kneecaps, aiming to keep arthritis at bay as she ages. She feels no pain now and should be fully ready for adventure with straight legs by mid-May. If you’re open to helping her recover post-surgery, she’ll reward you with her quirky spirit and resilience. Your new best friend is just one click away.
