Meet Mickey – In Search of Her Perfect Home to Shine! Mickey is an approximately 1-year-old female pit mix, about 35 pounds. This sweet girl arrived at the shelter terrified of everything — people, sounds, even the leash. With patient handling and consistent reassurance, she’s slowly discovering that the world isn’t so scary. She’s consistently improving on her leash walks and slowly warming up to new faces. What Mickey needs to thrive Mickey will do best with an adopter who understands that confidence takes time. She’s looking for a calm, patient home that can continue to build on the socialization and trust‑building she’s already begun. Having a well‑socialized dog in the home would be a huge bonus. Playful, smart, and full of potential Once she feels safe, Mickey’s personality shines. She loves to play, especially fetch, and has amazing focus and so much potential to keep learning. With the right support, she has all the makings of a loyal, affectionate, and wonderfully fun companion.
