Monkey landed here in March 2023 alongside another dog after they were surrendered to animal control. He's a dog who takes his time figuring people out. It took him a few months to settle in with his foster family, and he’ll still grumble if picked up. Monkey’s loyal once you’ve gained his trust, and he isn’t shy about choosing his people. He gets along with other dogs, but does not do well with cats or children. He’s had a rough start in life, so anyone interested should be understanding and patient as he acclimates. A fenced yard—not a kennel or underground system—is required unless an apartment situation allows for an exception. Monkey needs to be part of your household, not just an outdoor dog.
