About Roosevelt
Roosevelt is a medium-sized border collie mix who wandered into a family’s yard one summer and has been with them since. They estimate him to be middle-aged (about 5–7 years old) and around 40–45 pounds. Roosevelt is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, house trained, and leash trained. He enjoys being indoors with people and feels most at ease sleeping on a pillow near the door. He’s friendly with children—including those with special needs—and gets along with other dogs, though a quieter home or one with fewer dogs would help him thrive. While he coexists with cats, he has a strong prey drive and will chase if they run, so a cat-free home is recommended. He’s comfortable around birds but is not keen on being outside at night without people. Roosevelt gives full hugs and has a calm, gentle spirit. He’s currently located just east of Shawnee, in Prague, OK. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
