Meet Lexi and Brody Lexi is seven years old. Brody is five and a half. She is his mother. And these two have already been through more than they ever should have. Last year, Lexi and Brody were adopted into what we hoped would be their forever home. Recently, we received heartbreaking news — they were found running loose in the streets of Southern Missouri. Thankfully, kind Good Samaritans brought them to safety and helped get them back to us. Since then, their original adopters have not responded to calls or messages. Through it all, Lexi and Brody have had one constant: each other. They are deeply bonded. You can see it in the way they move together, rest beside one another, and look to each other for comfort. Lexi, the devoted mom, still watches over her boy. Brody stays close to her side. They truly take care of one another. They are sweet, gentle Huskies who deserve stability, kindness, and a family that will never let them down again. We would love more than anything to see them adopted together into a home that understands the commitment and empathy these two souls need. They don’t need perfection. They just need someone who will promise that this time, it’s forever.
