Meet Blake, a sweet and steady companion!  Blake is a 7-year-old Shih Tzu (turned 7 in January) weighing 16 and 1/2 pounds and he’s already slimmed down from the extra weight he didn’t need. This handsome little guy came into rescue alongside his Yorkie best friend, Kayce, after their beloved owner passed away. A compassionate hospice nurse lovingly cared for both boys until help was secured with LPPNC, and we are so grateful for her kindness. When Blake first arrived, we noticed what appeared to be a cataract in one eye. After a veterinary evaluation, it was determined that removal was the best option to prevent rupture and future pain. Amazingly, just one day after surgery, Blake was already feeling better and he truly hasn’t missed a beat since! His adorable pirate look only adds to his charm. He would do best in a home with another kind, friendly dog or with someone who is home more often than not. Blake loves a cozy lap, gentle pets, and simply being near his person. He has a calm, loving spirit and would thrive in a peaceful home where he can be your loyal little shadow. From his foster mom (Blake is being fostered in Wilmington, NC):

Please note that we do not ship animals. We also require a home visit before finalizing any adoptions so preference is given to applicants within a 90 mile range. You will be required to come to High Point, NC to meet/pick up your new pet.

 2. Click on the "Adoption Application" link on the left side of the page.
 3. The application will open as a PDF and you should have the ability to fill it in from that page. Be sure to complete all fields.
 4. Save the application to your computer, then attach in an email and send to petprojectnc@gmail.com
 5. Someone will review your application as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours, and will be in touch with next steps.
