About Mabel

Mabel is the embodiment of resilient affection. At 9 years old and weighing just 6 pounds, this small, three-legged Chihuahua has survived more than her fair share: she was found after being hit by a car, lost a leg, was severely underweight, and suffered a painful eye ulcer. Even so, she has chosen to embrace joy. Mabel thrives when she's curled up in a safe lap, soaking up all the attention she can get. Despite her missing leg, she moves through life with determination and a disarmingly sweet spirit. She forms deep bonds with her people and seeks security, love, and a place where she belongs. She gets along with dogs and children, but cats are not her favorite—she’ll put up with them as long as they keep their distance. For potty breaks, she needs potty pads or frequent trips outside, preferably carried like the little queen she is. A quiet, deeply loving home where she can truly belong is all Mabel asks for, and after all she's endured, she deserves nothing less. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
