About Shannon

Shannon is a Hound mix who moved to New York in late February and is settling in with a foster family on Long Island. Her foster reports that although she’s shy around new people, she warms up and reveals a goofy, affectionate side once she feels safe. Shannon gets along great with other dogs and cats, and she’s also been gentle and friendly with a five-year-old child in her foster home. She has plenty of energy and loves sprinting around the backyard, showing off her speed and agility, even leaping over other dogs as she plays. Shannon craves closeness with her people and often wants to curl up right beside them. She’s still working on house training, so her adopter will need some patience as she learns. Ready for someone willing to help her blossom in her own time. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
