Max – 8-Year-Old Lab, Carolina Mix, 46lb, Seeking a Committed Forever Home Max is a happy boy, healthy and currently located in a Central Texas high-risk shelter! This is a courtesy post for a Texas shelter dog, and a true “Hail Mary” effort to find him a committed adopter willing to give him the stable, loving home he deserves, before it's too late... We are hoping to secure placement soon outside of Texas to give Max his best chance at safety and a fresh start. About Max: • House trained and reliable indoors • Uses a doggie door while his previous foster is at work • Loves car rides and travels well • Enjoys playing fetch and carrying his favorite ball • Happy both indoors relaxing and outdoors exploring • Friendly with other dogs Important Notes: Max does show resource guarding behaviors with toys, so he would do best as the only pet in the home or experienced owners, where management is simple and consistent. Because he has prey drive, a home without cats or chickens is required. This sweet boy has so much love left to give. He simply needs someone willing to see past the shelter environment and give him the secure future he deserves.
