Dog's Name: Gwen (GWE0226ALAFD) Estimated Breed: Chihuahua mix Approximate Age: 1 year Approximate Weight: 10 lbs Currently Living at: Boarding Adoption Fee: $400 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Gwen – CEO of the Lap Lovers Club! If there were an Olympic event for Competitive Cuddling, Gwen would take home the gold. This adorable Chihuahua mix has one clear life goal, to be the best lapdog there has ever been and she's well on her way. She's incredibly friendly and believes that laps were specifically invented for her personal use. While Gwen gets along nicely with other dogs, she definitely prefers the calmer crowd. She appreciates peaceful companions who respect her boundaries and understand that life is best enjoyed at a cozy pace. Gwen's gentle, loving personality makes her the perfect companion. She's looking for a soft place to land, a kind heart to love, and a forever home where she can dedicate herself fully to her favorite job: being your shadow, your snuggle buddy, and your best friend. If your lap has been feeling a little empty lately, apply today and let little Gwen be your permanent lap warmer! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
