About Hobo

šŸ’›šŸ¾ Senior Sweetheart Seeking a Soft Landing šŸ¾šŸ’› Meet Hobo — our handsome, 10(ish)-year-old Lab boy with the kindest soul and the most grateful heart. Hobo came to us through no fault of his own. His beloved owner had to move into a retirement home and could no longer care for him. You can imagine how confusing that must have been for a loyal dog who spent his whole life by her side. šŸ’” Hobo lived as an outdoor dog for most of his life — but let us tell you something beautiful… he has discovered indoor living here at the shelter, and he LOVES it. He has learned that couches, cozy blankets, and air conditioning are pretty wonderful things. We truly believe his golden years should be spent mostly indoors, where he can soak up comfort, safety, and love. And speaking of love… this boy soaks it up. Hobo absolutely adores people. Every pet, every scratch behind the ears, every soft word — he leans in like he’s been waiting his whole life for it. He doesn’t ask for much. Just you. ā¤ļø He is blind in one eye, but that doesn’t slow him down one bit! He gets around just fine and still has plenty of pep in his step. Yes, he’s a senior… but he still has energy, joy, and so much affection left to give. Senior dogs love deeper, bond stronger, and appreciate home in a way that is truly special. Hobo does need to be a one-and-only pet, as he prefers not to share his humans with other dogs. And honestly? He deserves to be someone’s whole world. šŸŒŽ We also want to be transparent — Hobo is currently heartworm positive. The shelter is actively treating him, and he is doing well. What he needs most during this time is a calm, loving, peaceful home where he can rest and recover. Healing is always better with a soft bed, gentle hands, and someone by your side. This just makes it even more urgent for him to find his forever family. He has adjusted to shelter life — but this is not where a senior boy belongs, especially while undergoing treatment. He belongs in a home. Please come meet Hobo. Give him the second chapter he so deeply deserves. Let’s get this sweet senior out of the shelter and into the loving environment he needs to heal and thrive. šŸ’› šŸ“ Waverly Animal Shelter 108 Young Rd, Waverly, TN 37185 šŸ“§ hchumanesociety2012@gmail.com 931-296-7319 ā° Shelter Hours: Mon & Fri: 8am–4:30pm Tue–Thu: 8am–1:00pm If unable to reach during shelter hours, please contact: šŸ“ž Jennifer Crossett 253-209-4925
