Meet Yates! At just 1 year and 7 months old and 37 pounds, Yates is a young pup full of playful energy, curiosity, and sweetness. He still has that classic puppy zest for life, which means he can be bouncy and may jump up when he's excited to say hello. Once he's had a chance to burn off some energy, though, he settles nicely and walks well on leash, making him a fun companion for outings and adventures. Yates seems to be housetrained and rides well in the car, showing he's already got some great life skills under his belt. He's very food motivated, which will make training both effective and enjoyable for him and his future family. While he can be a little timid when meeting new people at first, he warms up with patience and quickly reveals his affectionate side. Once comfortable, he loves being close and sharing attention. He shows positive interest in other dogs and gives off friendly, curious vibes when he sees them. Like many young dogs, he can get a bit mouthy during play, but it's gentle and easily guided with redirection and continued training. Yates is a sweet, eager boy who just needs a family ready to help him learn, grow, and channel his energy in positive ways. With guidance, consistency, and love, he's sure to blossom into a wonderful, devoted companion. As always, we strongly recommend that resident dogs meet any new potential canine family members.
