Only the $75 transport fee is due up front to secure the adoption and transport. Fernando and his 4 litter mates were born to their precious mother in the middle of August. Thankfully, it was hot in Texas when they were born because their mother had almost no hair as a result of her neglect and abandonment. In spite of her skin issues, she was so proud of her puppies and such a good mama. They loved her back which was something that she hadn't known in her young life. Mama found mercy and kindness and a home in New Boston, Texas. Her new owner contacted Greg King Canine Recovery and they were able to take Mama's litter in to their rescue. Mama is on medication for her skin issues which was primarily due to a lack of adequate nutrition. Based on physical traits and the expertise of our veterinarian, we believe that he is a yellow lab and Pit terrier mix ….. the shape of his head reminds me very much of a Great Dane so I would not be surprised at all if he did not have some Dane DNA in his genetic makeup as well However, this is based on physical traits. We have not done a DNA test. He has had 3 puppy shots, his rabies vaccination, tag and certificate and a health certificate. He receives Simparica monthly which is a flea, heartworm and dewormer. You will receive a folder with veterinary information to take to your vet when you adopt. Only the $75 transport fee is due to secure transport from our rescue in Texarkana, Texas to one of the 5 locations on our transport route. The $150 adoption fee is not due until you pick him up on the transport date at the location you select. You may pick him up from our rescue in Texarkana, Texas once your adoption application is approved. You also have the option to designate someone else to pick up your pet from any of the five transport locations. Once a month, we transport all pre-adopted dogs and puppies to the following 5 cities because all of the shelters in our area are kill shelters, so we try to save all that we can by getting them adopted and transporting them to their new homes.
