About Mayor Mike
Mayor Mike and his brother Esai came in as spooked kittens from the Oakland Ballers' field, but their transformation has been impressive. Mike, with his orange tabby stripes, acts as the social lead: he’s always nosy about your projects, ready to chase a jingly toy, and you’ll hear him chirp in delight as he zooms around or scales his favorite perch to keep an eye on some birds. Esai is Mike’s constant shadow—quiet, plush, and smooth-coated, he sneaks in for gentle cuddles and head bonks, especially if he hears a treat box. Esai loves his routines, from the first sunny good-morning swirl to pouncing through a tunnel for snack time. Together, these two chase toys, leap after lasers, and monitor backyard wildlife with the kind of focus only kittens have. They’ve built up confidence around a friendly foster cat, so a home with another gentle feline is an ideal match. Despite all their progress, they’re still startled by loud sounds and need someone patient, with the steadiness and empathy to help them grow further. Mike and Esai are truly bonded; adopting them means welcoming loyal companions who bring each other (and you) comfort, curiosity, and plenty of entertainment.
