About Faith

Faith, Female, 1 year old This extra exuberant, friendly, and smart 1 year old is ready to meet you!! She’s 30 pounds of pure love and playfulness!! Faith needs an active, breed experienced adopter and a fenced in yard would be a bonus! Daily mental and physical stimulation and exercise is a must. ***She will need an adopter committed to continue her training, and a home with children 16+.*** “This sweet, coyote-looking girl is ready for her second chance. Faith came to us from a humane case after being left behind in an unoccupied home. She’s just a puppy — recently turning 1 year old — and weighs only 28 pounds. We believe she’s a working-breed mix, possibly with Collie, and she absolutely thrives when she has a job to do. High-energy, intelligent dogs like Faith can struggle in a shelter environment, especially when they have to wait. Because her case had to move through the court system, Faith spent one month in limbo before she was able to be placed up for adoption. On top of that, we don’t believe she had any formal training prior to coming to us. But look at her now. To help Faith channel her energy in a positive way and set her up for long-term success, she has spent the last two weeks training Lorenzo's Dog Training Team! The transformation has been incredible. With one-on-one guidance and structure, she has shown just how eager she is to learn. She wants to work. She wants to please. She just needed the opportunity. Faith is: ✔️ Good with other dogs ✔️ Smart and highly trainable ✔️ Best suited for an active home ✔️ In need of continued mental and physical enrichment She’s not just looking for a home — she’s looking for a teammate. Someone ready to keep her mind engaged, continue her training, and give her the active lifestyle she craves.” No appointment is necessary to adopt. Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis, by visiting the shelter. Applications are not accepted in advance, but will be filled out upon adoption. If you have another dog and/or children in your family and are interested in adopting a FAPL dog, please bring them with you for a meet and greet. Please bring a copy of lease agreement if you rent home/apartment. All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are dewormed, microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Dogs 7 months and older are heartworm tested. Upon visiting FAPL, if you don’t see a particular dog you are looking for that is on the website, please ask at the front desk.
