Faith needs an active, breed experienced adopter and a fenced in yard would be a bonus! Faith came to us from a humane case after being left behind in an unoccupied home. She’s just a puppy — recently turning 1 year old — and weighs only 28 pounds. We believe she’s a working-breed mix, possibly with Collie, and she absolutely thrives when she has a job to do. High-energy, intelligent dogs like Faith can struggle in a shelter environment, especially when they have to wait. Because her case had to move through the court system, Faith spent one month in limbo before she was able to be placed up for adoption. On top of that, we don’t believe she had any formal training prior to coming to us. But look at her now. Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis, by visiting the shelter. Applications are not accepted in advance, but will be filled out upon adoption. If you have another dog and/or children in your family and are interested in adopting a FAPL dog, please bring them with you for a meet and greet. Please bring a copy of lease agreement if you rent home/apartment. All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are dewormed, microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Dogs 7 months and older are heartworm tested. Upon visiting FAPL, if you don’t see a particular dog you are looking for that is on the website, please ask at the front desk.
