Winston, Male, 7 years old, 58 pounds Wonderful Winston!! This extremely friendly, fun, handsome 7 year old Cattle Dog is ready to be your co-pilot in life! Winston is an entertaining, active guy. He lived with another dog and did very well. (We are unsure on cats.) He is house trained, knows commands, and can be left home alone without issues. Winston is fine with older children, but keep in mind, he is a herding breed. It’s in his nature to herd! This breed needs daily mental and physical stimulation and exercise, they are highly intelligent dogs! Winston also loves to swim- he’s lucky that Lake Erie is so close!! Winston is looking for the perfect home. Perhaps it’s with you? No appointment is necessary to adopt. Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis, by visiting the shelter. Applications are not accepted in advance, but will be filled out upon adoption. If you have another dog and/or children in your family and are interested in adopting a FAPL dog, please bring them with you for a meet and greet. Please bring a copy of lease agreement if you rent home/apartment. All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are dewormed, microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Dogs 7 months and older are heartworm tested. Upon visiting FAPL, if you don’t see a particular dog you are looking for that is on the website, please ask at the front desk.
