Helloooo CLARISE! ❤️ ***Clarise is being fostered in Dundalk, MD (Annapolis area) and is ready for a meet & greet!*** We are all going gaga for Clarise, who is our latest rescue puppy! She is just the cutest! Clarise is between 6-7 months old and is ~9 lbs as of February 24, 2026. We don't know her exact breed but our best guess is a Dachshund/Chihuahua mix! She’s a Sato! We estimate her full-grown weight will hover around 12 lbs based on current age and weight. She is a perfect portable size and fits in a dog bag well. Clarise is a very sweet and cuddly dog and has had a lot of change in the last few days, and she is taking all these changes in stride! She was given up by someone on Facebook in Puerto Rico who no longer wanted her because she thought she was "annoying" (i.e. wanted too much attention/was too loving -- you can't make this up!) and our rescue agreed to take her on. Who doesn’t want love?! Clarise is meeting a lot of new people and is doing so well! She’s getting more and more confident with new experiences each day. Clarise enjoys following her newfound people friends around the house and will sit at their feet to keep them company. She likes human attention and being around people. She’s also in a home with a young girl and likes her too! Please see the videos and you'll get a good sense of her sweet energy. She likes being picked up! She enjoys playing as well with the other dogs in the foster home! She is great with all the dogs she's met. She is well-socialized. We think she would be good with cats too with a proper introduction and given her age which is the perfect time for learning and intros. She is the perfect age to be adopted now since she's so young and is easily moldable to your lifestyle and routine! Clarise is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and is spayed.
