To the tune of "Lovely Rita" by the Beatles (yes, we get creative around here): Lovely RITA, kitty caaaat! May I inquire discreetly When are you free to take a flight to meeeee? (The answer is NOW! Rita is ready to find her forever people!). Rita is a stunning Calico cat who is ~3 years old and 9 lbs. She is a DSH mix, likely with many breeds; however, we put down Ragdoll because she is so easy to handle! Her caretaker and rescuer describes her as gentle, affectionate, and trusting. Rita has a low to moderate energy level. She has a quiet, sweet presence and is not demanding or hyper. She has aspects of an independent nature and isn't needy, but she absolutely LOVES being pet and will lean into your touch, gently weaving between your legs asking for affection (and not only when you are about to feed her either!). She loves the human connection. She has no problem being picked up and remains calm and relaxed in your arms. Rita's personality is a perfect balance of confident and loving. Rita gets along well with other cats and has never shown any aggression whatsoever with any person or animal. She has a very even-keeled demeanor. She does not fight or compete; she prefers harmony! Her interactions with dogs have been uneventful as well. She remains calm and unbothered. Rita is being actively cared for and looked after by a trusted independent rescuer we have worked with for years. She says she is truly an AMAZING cat and stood out among the sea of cats that need rescuing as Rita is deeply connected to people and absolutely loves affection! The rescuer asked us for help with her and of course we agreed. The rescuer unfortunately cannot have Rita in her home as she is at capacity with animals but Rita hangs out in her beautiful backyard and comes like clockwork to feed twice a day and to check on the goings on at the rescuer's house. Thanks to this rescuer's care and proactivity, Rita is fully vetted, vaccinated and spayed. She has no health issues that we have observed. Rita was a devoted mother who raised her babies on the streets, protecting them and doing her motherly duties to ensure they survived. Thanks to her rescuer, all her babies are safe and adopted! Now it is Rita's turn to find the forever home she so deserves! Adoption fees listed here ($275) cover all transport related costs to the States.
