Very handsome. Very special. Mildly dramatic in the best way. We were told Trout was on the shy side down south. And listen… maybe he was. But apparently no one told him he was moving to Rhode Island. Because this boy hit snow for the first time and said, “Oh. THIS is my origin story.” Since arriving, Trout has been warming up quickly, leaning into pets, exploring his new surroundings, and absolutely thriving in winter wonderland mode. He’s still a sensitive soul at heart, but once he feels safe? Total love. He would likely do best in a home with another dog. A confident canine friend seems to help him feel secure and bring out his playful side. Think of him as the sweet, handsome sidekick who just needs the right co-star. And speaking of handsome… We are legally required to warn you: Try not to fall in love. The face. The expressions. The “I’m shy but also stunning” energy. It’s a lot. We’re struggling too. ADOPTION INFORMATION HOW TO GO ABOUT ADOPTING: - Come in during adoption hours to apply and fill out an application completely. We have applications on site. Open adoption hours take place at 44 Worthington Road in Cranston, RI. We are open every Wednesday 3-7pm and Saturday 10am-2pm. - Fill out an online application to adopt by clicking here: https://tinyurl.com/4yy3nz2d - We require proof of homeownership (tax form, deed, mortgage statement) or landlord approval (a copy of your lease that clearly states you are allowed to have a dog, puppy, cat, or kitten OR written and signed consent from your landlord. - We require copies of up to date vet records for any current pets. Helpful reminders: *We do not do same day adoptions. *Please bring the entire family in to meet the animal you are interested in. *We will setup a meet and greet with your dog at a later date. PLEASE do not bring your dog with you when you come in to apply.
