About Arlo

Arlo is a big, fluffy Golden Retriever and Great Pyrenees mix who thinks he’s a Pittie—attitude, stubbornness, and charm included. He has lots of energy and wears his goofy dignity proudly, complete with the famous “Who, me?” look. Arlo is all about family. He grew up alongside human siblings and, through no fault of his own, ended up needing a new home after his prior family's split. Life as a foster has revealed Arlo’s complexity. He gets truly excited seeing people, absolutely adores kids, and gets along with dogs who respect his space. Guests with little ones are treated to joyful chaos—Arlo is in heaven around children, and the feeling is mutual. As for quirks, Arlo would probably prefer a strong drink before nail trims, but warms up for a thorough brushing if he trusts you. He sheds, as any fluffy golden-mix does; a good brush helps. Arlo isn’t cut out for livestock jobs—herding isn’t his thing. Instead, he loves lounging and being with his people. To thrive, he’ll need an adopter who can offer clear leadership—he’s happy to test boundaries if given the chance. At about 4 years old, he’s neutered, fully vetted, house and crate trained, just waiting for the right family to help him adjust. He’s couch-potato material with some commitment and structure. Arlo is currently in Powell, TN. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
