When she first arrived, she didn't want to be caught in her pen. We let her decompress for a bit, but eventually we had to scoop her up - and even then, she never once tried to bite. Not a snap, not a growl. Just quiet fear. At intake, she sat silently in my lap. No fuss while I vaccinated her. No drama when I had to gently give her prevention. Just stillness. Her little spirit feels so sad right now. She came to us completely matted, so I took a chance and shaved her down myself. And guess what? She has absolutely been groomed before. She stood like a champ. I even shaved her tiny little face. Moonpedal doesn't need chaos. She doesn't need loud. She needs a soft landing. A calm home. A safe space where she can exhale and learn that she doesn't have to brace herself anymore. She's such a baby. And she deserves to feel safe again.
