Meet Dolly! Dolly is a female spayed Papillon mix who is about 6 years old. She is around 6.5 pounds, potty pad trained, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on chronic medications for severe allergies. Dolly does NOT go outside, ever. She thinks the outdoors are very scary and has NO want or need to ever go there. She does not go on walks, she does not sit on the deck or porch, she does not like any of that. She has been camping(giant RV, not tent) twice and she did not enjoy it in the least. Her favorite spots are the couch, the bed, and a lap. Dolly loves to play with her toys and even plays fetch. She has a loud play voice and can be a little mouthy at times but never mean. Her favorite toys are the stuffingless toys. She gets along with the other dogs in the house but does not play with them. She gets along with the cats in the house and tries to play with them-more her size. Dolly has severe allergies and came into rescue needing lots of medical attention due to the damage done to her skin. She is on Zenrelia 2.4mg once a day and Fluconazole 25mgs once a day. She may be able to eventually decrease her Fluconazole to three times a week but she will NEVER be able to stop these medications. Dolly takes these medications very well in a pill pocket. She knows the sound of the bag and comes running for her nightly medications. She will require vet visits multiple times a year to keep up on her allergies as well. She does not need a special diet for her allergies as they are not food allergies but environmental. She does not like her ears being touched. They were very infected when she came into rescue and sore. She has fear with the idea of them being touched and does get very upset when we try to do things with them. We are slowly working on being able to clean and medicate them but this may need to be done by a vet clinic if she gets another infection. Dolly does shed. She also has the most amazing Grinch feet we have ever seen! She loves her Grinch feet and we do not trim them. They do need to be bathed occasionally due to using the potty pads.
