About Junior
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Meet Junior, a small yet brave Terrier who narrowly avoided euthanasia after arriving at Downey shelter. Initially timid and struggling with trust, Junior has truly blossomed in his foster home. He’s learning that affection doesn’t always mean fear, growing every day thanks to patient caregivers who teach him the boundaries he needs to flourish. Junior thrives best in a home with clear structure and firm but loving guidance, as his independent spirit seeks leadership from those around him. He absolutely loves games like fetch and tug-of-war and is known for expressing himself with charming vocal enthusiasm. While Junior does well as the only pet, he may also enjoy living with a calm canine companion. This outgoing little guy is a wonderful car buddy, always ready to hop in for rides and enjoys amusing himself by chasing after flies. He is fully crate-trained and house-trained, and is working diligently on his leash skills and social manners. Junior is searching for a dedicated adult-only or older-kids home where his journey of building trust can continue with the support and love he has come to crave. Since he was born on October 25, he's a Scorpio—known for their passionate and courageous natures! Start your journey together! Apply now.
