Parkour aka Parker is the most special girl. She is very curious about her surroundings. She uses her nose to sniff so much you'd think she's a bloodhound. She loves to chew on toys. I gave her a Nylabone type chew that she really likes and a stuffed animal squeaker toy she really likes as well. She did pick up my shoes several times but when offered one of the other toys she happily chose the toy instead. She is food motivated and was open to clicker training. She did well with "sit" and "come here". She sat nicely by my side when I was at the table eating or in the kitchen. I tried out both a snuffle mat and a lick mat with her and both were very successful. She scarfs down food so a slow feeder is a must. She found her reflection in the door and is not impressed that this other dog wouldn't play with her. I attempted to give her a bath, but it was only partially successful. I think with time she may learn to enjoy it, especially if she receives a lick mat to focus on while it's happening. When outside, she was curious about other dogs but we didn't interact with any. She played with a ball and got the zoomies. Zoomies on top of zoomies. She's so happy. She sniffed a lot and tried to chase a bunny. She tried to eat some berries and leaves but was compliant when I had to take stuff out of her mouth. She went outside very frequently but wouldn't potty outside, nor would she potty when I was around. That said, she did potty on pads in the same 2 places in the house, so I think with time she'll be easy to potty train. I had two visitors while she was here. Each visit lasted about 15 minutes. My brother came over and she barked at him and moved away but took lots of treats he tossed in her direction. She did the same with my mother. I think she just needs some more socialization. She loves cuddling whether on the couch or the floor. She slept easily in a dog bed at the foot of my bed but she definitely wanted to be invited up into bed with me. If you ask, she'll happily give you kisses. This girl will capture your heart and never let it go. Her forever home will be so lucky to have her. She's smart and funny and sweet with a little sass, not to mention beautiful. This girl has the potential to be the total package .
