About Happy

Happy and her sibling Silly came out of a rough start, but you’d never guess it now. Removed from an overwhelmed owner and brought to safety as barely-weaned pups, they've grown into healthy, outgoing young dogs. Happy lives up to her name—she has a bright, social personality and always seems to smile. She'll likely land in the medium-sized range, about 35-50 lbs when full grown, sporting that classic terrier mutt look. Happy is content snuggled up with her brother at night and makes fast friends with humans, dogs, or even cats. You don’t have to adopt both siblings, but you do need a schedule that suits a young pup. She’s had her second round of vaccines and is set to be spayed at a prescheduled date (required, included with adoption) right in San Diego. Adopters must commit to attending the surgery—this isn’t optional. The rescue strongly prefers San Diego area adopters for logistics. If you know what goes into raising a puppy or are genuinely ready for it, Happy could be the one. She’s just waiting for her forever family to find her. They are waiting with paws crossed!
