About Cooper

Cooper is a big, affectionate softie who melts into your arms for hugs. At around 4 and a half years old, this American Staffordshire Terrier has an impressive background in professional obedience, including completing a training program with Magic City K9 at Everglades Correctional Facility. Cooper mastered over 40 commands during that intense experience—a testament to his intelligence and eagerness to work with people he trusts. Though he got along well with many of the dogs in his class, Cooper will thrive best as the only dog in a quieter, low-traffic home. He’s house trained and has solid household manners, but needs some patience with strangers and benefits from a slow introduction. Cooper isn’t a match for homes with cats, but he warms up beautifully and turns into a loyal, gentle companion once he knows you. This is a chill, affectionate guy ready for someone to build a bond with him. Born September 9, Cooper is a practical Virgo—he enjoys routines and using his sharp brain.
