About Hershey
Hershey has spent her entire life as a cherished companion, only to find herself at a no-kill shelter when her family could no longer care for her. At 13 years and 9 months old, she still brings the energy and playfulness of a much younger dog, especially when she’s tearing around the yard or heading out for a walk. Hershey thrives around people, including children, and has a soft spot for anyone willing to toss a toy her way—her fetch skills are top notch and she’s got a little excited dance that’s hard to resist. Hershey needs to be the only pet, so she isn’t suited to homes with other dogs. She has a beautiful chocolate-and-cream coat and a few senior 'beauty marks' her vet isn’t worried about. She’s both house and crate trained, enjoys snuggling, and handles leash walks well—she’ll pull a bit if another dog is nearby, but responds quickly to correction. Hershey is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped, in good health, and looking for someone ready to let her back into a loving home. Plus, as a Leo born on August 17, she’s bound to be loyal, outgoing, and loves being the center of attention. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
