Menchi, formerly known as Perch, came back into rescue through no fault of her own when her prior family was unable to bring her to their new, pet-restricted home. Since returning, Menchi has truly thrived in foster care. Although initially shy with a bustling house full of cats and two greyhounds, she’s grown comfortable and has revealed her quirky, independent spirit. Menchi is affectionate on her own terms—she loves cuddles but isn’t crazy about being picked up. She’s still young, playful, and adores having a feline friend to chase around the house. Menchi’s ideal home will have another friendly cat (or two!) for her to play with, as she gets bored and lonely without a buddy. She enjoys lounging in the catio, watching the world go by. While she gets along well with cats, dogs, and children, her playful “nibbles” may startle very young kids, but they’re just her way of showing happiness.
