About Millie
Meet Millie -- quite possibly the sweetest dog you'll ever meet. This polite, gentle girl has an even temperament, a quiet nature, and a loving personality that make her a true "shadow dog." Wherever you are, Millie will happily be right there beside you, offering affection, companionship, and those soft, adoring looks that melt hearts instantly. Millie came to rescue as an owner surrender due to separation anxiety, and we believe she'll truly thrive in a home with another friendly dog to help her feel secure and confident. She's wonderful with people and dogs alike -- never reactive, aggressive, or barky -- just a kind soul who wants to belong. This smart, eager-to-learn girl already has so many great qualities: * Fantastic on leash and would make an excellent running buddy * Loves cuddling and showing affection * Sleeps through the night (preferably curled up at the bottom of your bed!) * Great in the car -- hops right in and settles down * Comfortable resting in a crate while someone is home * Has done well at doggie daycare and enjoys dogs she connects with * Practicing recall and learning more every day Millie is still young (likely under a year old), so she's in the perfect stage to continue learning and growing. She's incredibly smart and would benefit from some basic training and mental enrichment -- activities like puzzle toys, structured training, or even agility could be right up her alley. Her biggest challenge right now is separation anxiety. In a previous foster home where she was surrounded by other dogs, this was much less noticeable, which is why we feel a home with another dog will help her tremendously. She has recently started medication to support her while she continues to build confidence and coping skills, and she's already showing what a resilient and devoted companion she can be. Millie is the kind of dog who forms a deep bond with her person -- loyal, loving, and always close by. With a patient home, another canine friend, and a little guidance, she's going to blossom into an absolutely incredible lifelong companion. If you're looking for a sweet, smart, affectionate dog who will be your running partner by day and your snuggle buddy by night, Millie might just be your girl. đŸ Name: Millie Breed: Lab/Border Collie Sex: Female Age: 12-18 months Weight: 40 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Vaccinations: Up to date Heartworm: Negative on recent testing Microchipped: Yes BASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: Yes Good with Dogs: Yes - must have one in her new home Good with Cats: Yes Adoption Fee: $500.00 Location of dog currently: New Hampshire IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.
