About Dahlia Adoja

Meet Dahlia Adoja, a striking blend of Belgian Malinois and pit bull, with the heart and brains to match both. She was found wandering in Downey but has truly blossomed in her LA foster home. At about 60 pounds and spayed, Dahlia brings together the best of two breeds: she’s dog-friendly and loves her pittie foster sister, but she values her space and alone time, often choosing to relax in her crate when she needs a break. Dahlia is completely house and crate trained, and she thrives with routine and a predictable environment. She doesn’t like cats, but she’s great with other calm, medium or large dogs—or would do just as well soaking up all the attention as the only dog in the house. She’s medium energy: a few hours in a secure backyard is her idea of heaven, after which she’s ready to curl up with her people for some snuggles. Out in the world, Dahlia is still polishing her leash manners. She’s not reactive, just very curious, and will benefit from an adopter with some leash experience. If you run, she’d be a fantastic companion. Dahlia is quick to learn commands and loves to show off her knowledge with “sit,” “down,” “place & stay,” and going to her crate on cue. She can be shy at first, but once she’s experienced something new, she faces it head-on. Dahlia has had a rough start, but she’s a genuinely special, affectionate dog ready to be someone’s loyal companion. Your new best friend is just one click away.
