About Tweedle Dee
This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally. **Please read Tweedle Dee's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Meet Tweedle Dee, a 1-year-old Heeler/Boxer mix, weighing 30-35 pounds (as of 2/24/26). This handsome boy and his brother, Tweedle Dum (also adoptable) were left abandoned at a church in Tennessee. They are now living in a foster home in the South with other pups and their foster mom but the Tweedle boys hope to find their own Wonderland with you! When he's not reciting poetry or confusing people with riddles, Tweedle Dee likes to play in the water and explore his surroundings in search of a white rabbit with a pocket watch! Tweedle Dee also loves greeting people, especially strangers named Alice! Compared to his brother, Tweedle Dee is a timid and calm boy that will be the perfect companion for a low key family (or talking caterpillar) since he enjoys snuggling and being loved on. Toys and treats are a big plus for him! The Tweedles also get along with other dogs and while they have no experience with kids or cats, they hope to impress them with their storytelling. They have so many stories to share! Most of the stories might not make any sense, but that's the fun of it! The Tweedles are doing well with crates and house training and are currently working on leash training which is new for them. They also know"sit" so it looks like you can teach a dog new tricks! If you're looking for a dog to finish your sentences or talk in unison, Tweedle Dee is the pup for you! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. To adopt or learn more about Tweedle Dee, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $495] ** PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works. Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
