Meet Cruz, He just arrived to us from one of our rescue partners in Texas. He is full grown at 17lbs so would be considered a mini aussie. He does fine with the other small dogs in our house. In fact you can tell he really likes other dogs. They are helping build his confidence. Our small 8lb Pomeranian has attempted to get him to play. He has shown some interest in play but it's short lived. He rides well in a car. He sleeps in his kennel all night without a peep. He does well with our 7yr old son. He has participated in daycare and the staff said he did well with all the other dogs. Basics: He is a neutered male guessed to be around 2 yrs and weighs close to 17lbs. We do not have a facility at this time. Dogs are in foster homes or boarding - Adoption fee is $580 and helps to cover transport costs, spay/neuter, initial vaccines, rabies, fecal, initial worming, and microchip. -We do not place holds on our dogs. Please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt. NOTE: We are very good about updating the pet's profiles once adopted. So no need to write us to ask "Is he/she still available?" If the post is up, the dog is still available. About Us: Day of the Dogs is a 501c3 nonprofit. Since 2015 we have been dedicated to helping shelters increase live release. We coordinate 2 - 4 transports per month from TX, OK and AR to NW Indiana/Chicagoland and the Kansas City area. We do direct adoptions ourselves out of Kansas City and NW Indiana areas.
