But what makes Eleven truly special isn't just her petite frame — it's her incredibly gentle, tender heart. Eleven is a soft soul. She's quiet, observant, and incredibly loyal once she bonds. Loud sounds and sudden movements can still startle her, which tells us she may not have always felt safe before rescue. She was found in Houston dragging a leash at an apartment complex — the leash chewed through — and we can only imagine what she endured. But here's the beautiful part... Once Eleven feels secure, she LOVES deeply. She has completely melted her foster brother's heart. Two nights in a row he's asked, “Mom, can El sleep with me? She's so good.” And she is. She curls up right beside him and stays there all night, not moving until he wakes up for school. She even rides along for school drop-off — bravely working on overcoming her fear of car rides a little more each day. She is learning that the world can be safe.
