Located in Wasilla, AK 2.5-year-old Chesapeake Bay Retriever Moose is a smart, affectionate Chessie who loves the water and thrives with structure and routine. He’s house trained, kennel trained, knows his basic commands, and has completed multiple rounds of training. Moose does have some reactive behaviors and a bite history related to resource guarding and overwhelm, but he has shown great improvement with training and continues to make progress. He has never shown aggression toward his household and would do best in an adult-only foster home with an experienced handler who can provide consistency, clear boundaries, and continued training. This boy is loving, eager to work, and ready to bond deeply with someone willing to give him guidance and patience. The right foster could truly help Moose take the next big step toward success.
