About Merlot
Meet Merlot. When first found outside, Merlot looked like a frail kitten—small, underweight, and waiting on a doorstep for help. She was desperate for attention, hoping someone would notice. But a trip to the vet revealed something bigger: Merlot is actually an adult cat, quietly suffering for years on her own. Her medical story is tough. She arrived with fluid and a mass near her mammary glands, and the biopsy confirmed Grade 2 mammary cancer. Merlot is also battling kidney disease and a urinary tract infection. Though her illnesses present real challenges, Merlot’s gentle and friendly spirit shines through. Even after so much neglect, she gravitates to people, coming out from her hiding spots for attention and affection. She’s becoming more relaxed with other cats as she heals, and shows little reaction to dogs, suggesting she could join a household with other animals. Despite everything, she is still looking for love and a safe, cozy place, with a person ready to give her the life she has always deserved. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
