Meet Lucky York! About a year ago, when his elderly owners transitioned into a nursing home, Lucky suddenly found himself without the only home he'd known. He was taken in by a kind foster and later placed with a sweet woman who adored him, but life circumstances changed again and she's no longer physically able to manage him safely. Through no fault of his own, Lucky is once again searching for stability. We were contacted to help because this time, we all want it to be his happy forever. Lucky is about 4 years old, weighs 18 pounds, and has the absolute cutest little underbite that gives him so much character. He's potty trained and will bark at the door when he needs to go outside. He enjoys other dogs and seems genuinely interested in playing - he can get excited on leash, especially when he sees other pups, but it's more enthusiasm than anything else. He's currently heartworm positive and has begun treatment, and we are committed to ensuring his care continues appropriately. What he truly needs now is consistency, patience, and a home that won't be temporary. Lucky has adjusted enough in his young life. He now deserves a family who understands that forever means forever!! He's a sturdy little companion with a playful spirit and a loyal heart just waiting to attach to his person.
