About Gabby
Gabby is currently staying in a foster home, so call ahead to arrange a meet-and-greet. She’s got quite a backstory: originally called Silverado, she started life in Kern County and has bounced through a couple of homes before landing with her current foster in Chico. Gabby is a sharp, loyal, and deeply affectionate pup—she’ll wedge herself into your lap for attention if you let her, and she sticks close to the people she loves. Gabby knows her basics—sit, down, shake, wait, and okay. She’s crate and house trained, leash ready, and comfortable in a harness. She’s used to a daily quiet time and is good about routines (she’s got a soft spot for truck rides too). A big part Husky, with Lab and Terrier in the mix, she can be chatty when the mood strikes or when she wants food. Gabby can be reserved meeting new people but acts goofy once she trusts you. She prefers to be the only dog in the home—sharing hasn’t worked out—and she thrives outside, especially around water. She’s fine with cats and chickens and will get along with children who give her space, as she does best with respectful kids rather than little ones. She’s up to date on all her shots and vet care. Her quirks? Don’t tease her with shadows or reflections, and don’t expect her to always bring the ball back. If you’re looking for a devoted, active companion who wants your attention to herself, Gabby fits the bill. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
