Cherry is a tiny female apple-headed chihuahua born 11/3/25, she just cleared 2 lbs so we expect her to stay tiny, 3-5 lb range. Cherry was surrendered to our rescue when the rest of her litter died of parvo-virus and the owners did not have the means to try to save them. She has been an incredible little fighter and continues to do so well. Cherry is fiesty, unafraid of dogs of all sizes, loves to eat and play and be carried around be everyone. She is good in the car in her little carried and is happy to be in her playpen. He is not fully housetrained, but with her size bladder we dont really expect her to be at her age. She loves toys/snacks, sleeping in piles or warm blankets and tons of love from everyone. Because of her tiny size, her safest home would be without small childen or large dogs but we are willing to discuss options with a very dog savy adopter. She would love to be someone's little travel buddy. She will be available for adoption mid March after she is spayed and has a double hernia surgery. Please only apply if you have tiny dog experience. Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. We may consider long distance adoptions for dogs who have been in our rescue for 6 + months with no local candidates. Our pets are fostered/boarded all over LA and Orange County. This pet is altered, vaccinated, microchipped, and has had a brief temperament evaluation to help us determine what type of a home he/she would thrive in. Please note that we put lots of time and effort to make sure our pets are ready to be someone's perfect pet before they go home.... and to make sure that we will have the best possible match for this pet we do require an : application, interview, adoption fee and in some cases a home check.
