Her foster says she’s one of the very best dogs she’s ever had — the kind who fits seamlessly into your home and your heart. Mia is a perfect houseguest, does wonderfully with other dogs, and carries herself with an easy, gentle confidence that makes her a joy to be around. Mia came into our care when her life hung in the balance. She arrived at an emergency clinic with a severe blockage and faced euthanasia unless a rescue stepped up. Thanks to generous supporters and a determined team, we raised half of her $2,500 emergency surgery cost and covered the rest to give her a chance. The unlikely culprit was a corncob, and thankfully, Mia made a full recovery. Today, she is healthy, happy, and thriving in foster care. Smart, attentive, and deeply loving, Mia is the kind of companion who wants to be part of your everyday life — whether that’s relaxing at home, going for walks, or simply being by your side. She would do beautifully in just about any home and is ready to trade her second chance for a forever family of her own. She's a little too interested in kitties, so a cat-free home is best. Mia is a cuddler and wants to sleep in the bed with you, or sometimes is content on the dog bed in your bedroom. So we are looking for a home who is ok with that. We think that’s the least this surviving princess deserves!! We also prefer a home that will not crate her as she has had some bad experiences being crated in the past.
