About Frankie
Frankie came into rescue after losing her front right leg at the shelter, but it hasn't slowed her down one bit. She's a smart, affectionate girl who finds comfort in her own space. With people and animals she knows, Frankie is calm and easygoing, but new situations and faces make her a bit anxious. She currently lives with children but feels safest in a home without anyone under 14. Frankie gets along with well-balanced dogs who respect her need for space and would also be happy as the only pet in a quiet home. She's crate trained, house trained, and only needs short walks along with some mental exercises. On leash, Frankie handles walks confidently, though she prefers to avoid on-leash greetings with other dogs. She's treat-motivated and delights in pleasing her people. The right home will have patience and a mellow environment for her to decompress and settle in. Frankie is fostered in Los Angeles, CA. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about Frankie
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
For someone like Frankie, a Cattle Dog and Pit Bull Terrier mix, a calm home with clear routines and a quiet environment works best. Both breeds appreciate structure and prefer having plenty of personal space to relax.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Frankie's mix generally enjoys spending time outdoors, but with her amputation and moderate energy level, she is content with a few short walks daily and does not require a large yard. Regular outings and mental stimulation keep her satisfied.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
While many mixed-breed dogs like Frankie can do well around children, Frankie is best suited for a home with no children under 14, as younger kids can make her feel nervous.
