About Yeti

Yeti is a 2-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog and Labrador Retriever mix with a friendly, mellow presence. Weighing in as a solid medium-sized boy, Yeti’s first months at the rescue were about learning how to interact with other dogs. These days, he roughhouses and runs with his buddies Bon Jovi, Amber, and Mystic, lighting up when he’s part of the pack. Playing with dogs has become a true highlight for him. Strangers and new experiences still make Yeti pause—he’s naturally shy and needs a little extra time to settle in with new people. Underneath that hesitancy, though, he’s all sweetness and loves gentle attention, snuggling in for hugs and kisses once he feels safe. He isn’t interested in toys yet and flinches if one is tossed too close, so think patience and gentle play rather than chaos. Because of his timidity, a home with older kids or teens would suit him best. Yeti is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and knows his way around a leash. If you’re looking for a soft-natured, dog-friendly companion, Yeti is ready to meet his match. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
