We’re so excited to finally introduce Cupcake in hopes of finding her the perfect family. 💕 Cupcake was failed by the people who were supposed to protect her. She came from a backyard breeding situation with little to no socialization. Because of that, she is very shy and skittish. She’s gentle and sweet, but human touch is still unfamiliar to her and she doesn’t seek it out just yet. She will need a patient, understanding home that allows her to move at her own pace. What Cupcake does love? Other dogs. 🐾 They are her comfort and confidence, so she will need a home with at least one friendly, secure dog to help her feel safe and continue to blossom. Cupcake has also been on medical hold for the past three months due to a chronic cough. After rounds of antibiotics and corticosteroids, she has been diagnosed with chronic bronchitis, which means she has a persistent cough. She has greatly improved with treatment and will likely need lifelong management to keep her airways comfortable. With daily medication, routine vet care, and a smoke-free home, she can absolutely live a happy, love-filled life. Cupcake isn’t the dog for someone wanting instant cuddles. She’s the dog for someone with a big heart, realistic expectations, and the patience to watch a quiet soul learn to trust. And when she does?
