About Francis
Francis is a small, 2-and-a-half-year-old mixed breed who tips the scales at about 17 pounds, his white and apricot fur always looking a little tousled no matter how you brush him. Despite his sweet face, Francis comes with a need for stability that has been lacking so far. His ideal home is clear: experienced dog people only, someone consistent and firm, able to hold the line on boundaries and routine. Francis should be the only animal in the house—he can’t share space with other pets. He’s looking for a calm, low-traffic home where overstimulation won’t be a risk. In the presence of more than one person or too much excitement, Francis can get mouthy and nippy, but with just his person, he settles in, reveling in walks, playful sprints in a securely fenced yard, and curling up on a lap. He needs a yard directly accessible from the house to get safe zoomies time. Adoption is by appointment only—Francis isn’t the right fit for everyone, but for his person, he’ll be loyal for life.
